Location and Climate
The island of Pag is located between the islands of Rab, Olib and Vir, close to the mainland. With an area of 286.6 km2 it is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic, and with 270 km of rugged coastline is the island with the longest coastline on the Adriatic, rich with coves, bays, capes and beaches.
The highest point is Sveti Vid (St. Vitus), with the altitude of 348m, followed by the peak Kršina 263m and Komorovac 199m.
The particularity of the island are its numerous sources of drinking water on the island and there are three freshwater marsh lakes - Veliko Blato, Blato and Malo Blato Kolansko.
The proximity of Velebit is reflected on vegetation and is the single most important factor in the formation of distinctive stony landscape of Pag.
