How to get to the island of Pag?

By car

If you are traveling in the car, all the necessary information relating to Croatian roads and road tolls can be obtained at www.hak.hr

The island can be from the north by ferry line Prizna (mainland) - Žigljen (island). The journey takes about 15 minutes.

The island can be reached also using the bridge of Pag. From Novalja to the entrance to the Dalmatina highway (Zagreb - Split) at Posedarje you can get in an hour (70 km) and the town Pag is 45 km from Posedarje.

Rijeka - Senj - Prizna (ferry Prizna - Žigljen)
Zagreb - motorway - exit Posedarje - otok Pag
Zagreb - motorway - exit Žuta Lokva - Senj - Prizna (ferry Prizna - Žigljen)
Zagreb - motorway - exit Gospić - Karlobag - Prizna (ferry Prizna - Žigljen)
Split - motorway - exit Posedarje - island Pag

Useful information for drivers:
For driving in the Republic of Croatia you need to have a valid driving and registration license and the Green Card as proof of car insurance.

Traffic regulations in the Republic of Croatia:
- You drive on the right side of the road.
- The maximum speed limit in inhabited areas is 50 km/h (if not specified otherwise by traffic signs).
- The maximum speed limit outside inhabited areas is 80 km/h (if not specified otherwise by traffic signs).
- The maximum speed limit on highways is 130 km/h.
- The maximum permitted blood alcohol limit is 0.5 %.
